Hi, dear friends of Sea Ray

I just bought my frist Sea Ray today together with a friend. We are both familymen, and plans to share the use of the boat with each of our families. We have booked tickets on a plane for the next weekend, traveling to the main capital of Oslo area for picking up the boat and sail it to Bergen on the Western Coast of Norway. The distance is 334 nautical miles. We hopes to get fairy winds and calm seas. We are planning to keep a marching speed of 25 knots, and to take nightstation in Kristiansand city. A Dream Has Come True :)

Congratulations.....have a great trip.

Congratulations and welcome! That is an exeptional maiden voyage, enjoy and take good care. Check everything twice (if not three times) before you leave and carry spares, especially hose clamps:)

Congrats and welcome to CSR. I hope you will have a wildly successful and fun maiden voyage and will have lots of photos to share with us when you're done.

Good luck and watch out for those fairy winds! What is the range of your new boat with the Yanmar?

Welcome, and by the sounds of it a fairly interesting maiden voyage coming up. Make sure you keep us informed and photos.

Hi again,

and thank You very much for your warm and heartly welcome to a Viking from the north :smt001 We are now planning the maiden voyage, together with all the things that comes up with having av boat, such as: Insurance, navigation aids (pad, app's, maps, binoculars...), radio license registration, boat harbour membership at home, membership of the Norwegian rescue vessel company, membership in a boating club (due to the insurance company, among other things) etc etc. I will try to share some pictures with You later on. Regarding the range of the boat with this Yanmar engine (240 HP), it consumes about 0,8 - 1 litre per nautical mile at crusing speed (25 knots). For those who may be interested, the fuelprices in Norway today are about $2,5 per litre gasoline, and $1,67 per litre diesel (tac-exempt for boats among others).

Hi again,

the maiden voyage went well, despite we met more harsh sea-conditions than expected. The boat is at most seaworthy, we know now for sure. Nevertheless we have a great experience, and understand how safe this boat is. No doubt that Sea Ray boats are excellent in all terms.

ps. tried to upload some photos, both using "insert image" and "attachments", but have only a limit of 48kb of data to upload then.

Have a nice sunday at sea :smt001
