A day off with the guys.

I took yesterday off and made a trip to Mats Mats bay and then onto Port Hadlock on Washington's Olympic Peninsula.

It was a perfect day for a boat ride. A couple of Pictures of Mats Mats. It's a quiet little cove. There are no places to moor to, but the anchorage is nice.

Now thats depressing. Sombody used to love that thing. Shame it never got a proper burrial. Sombody proplably could have used salvage parts.

It's not that uncommon for us to see this. In many of the smaller anchorages, these boats have been left on a bouy and if unattended, sucomb to the elements, storms, dead battery, etc. Every once and while we will see these on shore like a dead beached whale.

I mispoke. There is no dock moorage. There are tons of private mooring bouys though. If you want to anchor you'll have to find a spot on your own hook. It's extremely protected and a pretty quiet place.
