A cute 190 Stopped in for a restoration

W4HLK, Ka1oxd is my ham call. Not to many of us left. Most of the people I know have given up the hobby. All my boats have had 10m 2m & 440 on them.

I have not QRZ'ed ya yet but I thought it was a ham call. My Husband is KA2YAK from NJ.... I have a 706-Mk2 on the Orlando Clipper. You see it in the videos.....

Love going on the hook for the night and playing on 75... I want to put the 756-Pro in the SRV270 in the mid berth locker.... I have a Henry 2KD5 if I could find place for it and a jenny to power it. LOL

A Photo of station W4HLK.

Love your ham shack, nice mike and mixer.I am getting out of C.B. after 35 years and finally going ham, starting with 2-meter. have to take down my C.B. 4-element beam and put up my 11-element cushcraft...loads of fun

Yes fwebster I think you may be right.. Uggg well any way. It's a thought. It would nice to have.

From mettle to wood. I am building a new swim platform. The old one is just to split and cracked along the grains to fix. This walnut is so rich smelling and oily it does not take much to make you feel queasy in the tummy. But it sure is pretty when finished.

Walnut? How do you plan to seal it?

Finished up the new swim platform. Will install it in the morning. Some one asked about sealing it. Linseed Oil and Wood wax is fine for this. It doesn't stay in the water 24/7.

Damned fine job. I would be very happy if I were the owner.

It's April 1st. When do you plan on taking your Christmas lights down in the shop?

That's one of the requirements to live in Alabama, leaving decorations up all year. Just think- it's only 269 days until Christmas!

You know it Babe!!
There is a song by Gretchen Wilson:
Redneck Woman.

V2,
Cause I'm a redneck woman
And I ain't no high class broad
I'm just a product of my raisin'
And I say "hell yea and "Yee Haw"
And I keep my Christmas lights on, on my front porch all year long
And I know all the words to every Charlie Daniels song
So here's to all my sisters out there keepin' it country
Let me get a big "Hell Yeah" from the redneck girls like me
Hell Yeah
................

How about an update?
Oops... never mind... I'm on a notebook pc... and it didn't load anything other than page 1 until I commented... then it made me look silly.
Stupid computer :)
Nice job!

Not to drag out a fast finish.

Here are the works of today. Lots of new stuff coming back from Upholstery.
A pin stripe and a rebuild out drive...

Some of this looks more blue than it really is. I think it's the flash. I have a cheep 8 year old $80 camera from Wal-Mart back in the day. BUt carpet is done and you can see the new wood of the new boxes. Another load of Upholstery comes in tomorrow....

I may get to go out on one of my own boats this weekend. Would that be cool or what?:wow:

I like this one I built as the engine cover apposed to the original one, a solid block of ply wood. I think the owner will too.

Kinda gives it a old retro wood boat look.

What cha'all think?

Great Job Heather - the wood gives it an upscale look.
The owner should be very pleased and give you his trailer to do next..................
