A/C not cooling

STX12-410A is not cooling. Spent some time trying to figure things out out. Strainer clean. Pump seems ok. Good water flow. Filter clean. Noticed bottom 3 or 4 coils cold and even Some frost. Rest of coils not cold at all. Maybe a tad low on Freon? Blockage in coils? Any ideas? Suggestions?

That's when I know I need more coolent when the bottom few coils start frosting. I have a slow leak but it costs a lot less to have the coolent added every year than buy a new unit.

Agree, sounds like you are low on freon. May not be a bad idea to run a shop vac across the coils while you are in there anyway. As they say, it couldn't hurt.

Was having the same problem with both my units. Guy came out and charged the Freon on both and walla - a/c's are cranking out the cold again.
