9x9 Trim Tab Kit for Boston Whaler 20 Outrage

Tom,

I am considering a set of Tabs for my 1997 Boston Whaler 20 Outrage. I believe the boat had Bennett 9x9 Trim tabs as an available factory option; not sure if you can verify that or not. So I am assuming this is the best size for my boat. I am going by the 1998 Parts Guide. I think 1997 was the year Brunswick bought Whaler so 1997-down literature is not available online.

Anyhow, I was wondering if a 9x9 Trim Tab kit is still available from Bennett. There is a tapered spot in the transom on each side just above one of the chines. I believe that must be for tab placement. Any help would be appreciated.

Jason,

The 9 x 9 was likely a custom Trim Tab that we built to Boston Whaler's design. If it is at all possible I would recommend larger ones. Also since the 9 x 9 was built only for Whaler you will not be able to buy them "off the shelf" and that will really drive the cost up.

Can you take a picture of your transom and post it? That would really help to determine the best way to proceed.
