99' 270 sundancer, port side navigational light out

Sorry, I just posted this in another forum, then saw this electrical question thread... My port side navigational bulb is out, do I attack it from 'top-side' or pry the cushioned panel off the bulkhead in the berthing cabin?
PS: I'd rather ask a stupid question than fix a stupid mistake. Thanks for the help, Bill

Go from the top side. Should be a screw holding on a lens cover. Underneath it is access to the bulb. You can use a voltmeter to determine if the bulb is good or not; or if you are getting power to the receptacle or not.
