Boat Info
1998 Sea Ray 370 Sundancer
Engines
7.4 MPI Horizons, BW Velvet 5000
According to the spec sheet it states 36-40mph...
Best i've ever seen is 35 gps

W.O.T. RPM: 4800...
and thats also what i see

I think the most I ever got out of mine was 29kts.

Take everything off the boat, have 1/4 of fuel, no water, no waste, and 2 people on board and I am sure you would hit over 36. Sea Ray doesn't test their boats with a full load of summer stuff, if you're getting 35 mph you are right on the mark or ahead of the curve as far as I am concerned.

End of the season with fresh plugs, caps, rotors, wires, oil/filter changes, timing adjust to 10deg since we have only 93, and all 4 water/sep filters.
1/4 fuel, 1/2 water in front, no tabs, 57 deg temp day, 1-2' seas, and two guys finishing up the beer in the fridge.
Im just saying that 36-40 seems high.

Oh yeah, and 552 hours.

I hit 35 ONCE. Going downhill on the St Lawerence Seaway with the tide at my stearn. Most times I'm really pushing to get over 30-32 with a cooler full and the wine cellar fully stocked.

I guess with those hours and today's ethanol gas its about as good as its going to get.
