I have a new-to-me '98 230 bowrider. While going over it cleaning everything I noticed the forward storage under the seats in the bow and the anchor cabinet do not appear to drain into the bilge or ski locker. They appear to just snug tight to the floor. Where does the water go? It must find it's way to the bilge, right? No one would design a boat that couldn't get wet or just let it seep under things into the places in the hull where it shouldn't be trapped.

Until I figure that out I'm a little hesitant to indiscriminately use the hose and heavy suds up front though.

Someone reassure me I can hose it down and then just pull the drain plug to let it dry!

I haven't washed the interior of mine, yet, but my cover got swamped and dumped tons of water in my 230. my trailer has the boat tilted aft, so it all went, where it was supposed to go. BUT, the reason I would be hesitant to take a hose to the interior, is that there's a lot of wood, in the construction. I know it's marine grade, but I also know that eventually even that will degrade. I would be glad to know a good way to wash the inside, as well. Also, a wet/dry shop vac helped me, with the places that didn't drain, right away.
