Has anyone had to replace their swim ladder. Mine would not extend so I took it home and it is completely jammed up. Sprayed it with PB Blaster for a few days and it will not budge. The plastic coated metal slides between the steps are completely corroded and deteriorating and most likely not replaceable. I checked Great Lakes Skipper and they do not have a replacement so it's up to retrofitting something on the market.

I'm pretty sure you can just flip the mounts around on the ladder to mount this on the platform.

Is your ladder the kind where it has concave rails that the slides travel in... and the lower step is the widest step (which is a nice feature)? If so, check with GG Scmitt & Sons - call them on the phone - see what they can do for you before you try something else. They might have a rebuild kit. If not, I think there is an updated version of what you currently have, although I'm sure it will be more expensive than the Windline.

My 1999 is very corroded but still works knock on wood. I need to spray it up with WD40 thanks for the reminder. I've only owned the boat for 2 weeks. Good luck on your replacement!

I had to replace mine for this very reason, after trying every known method of getting it unstuck, and got it from GG Schmidt. As suggested earlier, call them before you order they are very helpful. Check out this link and scroll down to the "3 step top pocket mount SLIDING...", part number L08E3105, pretty sure that's the one you want. http://www.ggschmitt.com/ladders.htm
