'96 45 DA Listed in RI...any one seen it?

Hey Dave...thanks for the quick reply. That may be exactly what I am looking for....despite the geographical restriction.

Do have knowledge of how well it performs with the Yanmars and also how they engineered/configured the cockpit A/C?

Thanks,

John F.

If you're looking for a 450 I know of a beautiful example of a 1996 thats been freshwater all its life and has the right 3126 Cats in it with only about 110 hours on them since replacment.

I believe the system is under the helm and cockpit seating, Elizabeth said she cruised at 30 kts. They have put a lot of money into this boat. I believe she is the original owner.

Nice looking with the colored hull.

Sorry, I'm not buyin' 30 kts with 250hp engines.

How can that be when 420hp engines in the same hull will only make about 25 kts @ cruise........with a stiff wind behind.

The cockpit air can easily be done since there is plenty of room under the helm seat, except that it takes another cooling pump, and associated plumbing and the generator cannot handle the added load of enough air conditioning to make a dent in the heat......I figured about 24K BTU's.

Roger that on 500 HP each. Here is the Yanmar PDF on that engine.

http://www.yanmarmarine.com/theme/yanmar/uploadedFiles/engine_files/PDF/6CX-530.pdf

The Yanmar is also rated at about 1200 ft. lbs. of torque...a big number x 2 in this boat. Size and weight is comparable to the Cat...big advantage Yanmar in HP & TQ.

I requested additional info from Marine Max. I am curious about the transmissions and running gear.

I try to learn something new every day.
