95 230 Sundancer

Hi Folks,

Purchased a 95 230 Sundancer with a 5.7 Merc Alpha One in July that I am trailering. I have been launching it out of Sandy Point State Park. This is my second Sundancer. Previously I had a 260 Sundancer which I kept on Bodkin Creek. Looking forward to next season.

How's the adjustment to the smaller size? What did you give up, what did you gain? everything in the boat world is a compromise, what was yours? You might actually be the first I'v seen with -itis.

I sold my 260 DA 8 years ago. I had been building and flying experimental airplanes the past years and decided to sell the plane and get back into boating. Since I had an empty workshop after selling the plane, I decided to get a boat that I can trailer and that would fit into my workshop. I do miss the extra room of the 260 DA, but enjoy the convenience of having the 230 DA in my workshop. After we get the children’s college funds paid we may think about +itis -)
