90 Searay 350 V-Drive shift cable

Hi All,
My Starboard shift cable is very rough feeling. How do I measure the Teleflex cable and where can I purchase a replacement from?

Length is usually printed on the cable.

Unless your cables were previously replaced, your cables are Morse (Teleflex) 33C Red Jacket Supreme. The cable length is stamped on the cable jacket but it is in inches, not feet, usually following the part number. Red Jacket cables are an industry standard and are available from many online vendors.

Confirmed. Found a part number on the stbd. hurth transmission end.
0301947-3-216IN Looks like I have indeed a red jacket supreme 216" / 18 ft.
Lucky me... they are no longer available. Recommendations on a good alternative?

Teleflex owns both the Morse and SeaStar trade names. I'm not sure what name they are currently marketing the cables under, but it is apparently SeaStar. You can use a slightly longer cable, but don't buy one shorter than 216". Be sure to check the end fittings on the one you are ordering to be sure they are the same as the one you are replacing. On the West Marine link you posted, look under "specs".
