I have water accumulating in the storage located under the floor in the middle. I can look into a small space under the storage and see the water and also the A/C lines that run to the front unit. I can't however see any condensate drain and I think that is where the water is coming from.

I had the same problem on my 340 1989. The only thing I could figure is that the A/C pan drain was cloged. and draining down to the storage. Cleaned it out W/ bleach and dawn mixture 1/2 gallon or so and it kept dry.
Give that a try.

Some Dawn detergents can be mixes safely with bleach. Some cannot. Please read the label. Those that cannot probably contain ammonia. Ammonnia and bleach do not play well together.

That reminds me of the time when i was a kid and i thought i would do my mom a favor and clean the severely stained white porcelain kitchen sink for her. I started by wetting the sink and sprinkling a good amount of comet around. Good start right? Then I decided to kick it up a notch. So then i added plenty of Ivory liquid dish soap and then began to scrub it with an SOS pad. Well Guess what, nasty noxious gasses had me gaging within 10 seconds, i held my breath and tried to rinse it out but I had to get out of there. Mom freaked out, opened all of the windows in the house and it still wreaked when my dad got home. i will say that was one clean white sink after that and a good lesson learned.

I use the two all the time mixed, never had a problem.

Sometimes the tray that the AC unit sits in rusts out. Other times the hose pops off and water just runs out and onto the floor.

Ronnds I have seen that but mine was just gumed up. It seemed to flush it out ok then no more water. It's a boat!!

I ended up pulling the forward AC unit up as much as I could to see the drain. The drain is just a short tube that drains into the bilge and runs next to a stringer from what I can tell. Is that the way it's supposed to be ? The condensate gathers next to the stringer and eventually fills up and empties into the middle storage in the floor. Both the pan and small tube are clear.

I can't figure out if this is supposed to drain this way. The water eventually does drain but I can't figure out where it actually goes. I'm guessing the bilge but can't see anything.

Maestro
Your condensate may wind up in your shower sump. Go to your sump and see if water is entering while the AC is running.

Maybe that is how it was in 1989, however by today's standards the AC condensate via a connecting hose/tube to the shower sump or via a (brand name follows) Mermaid Condensator.

I have to look at mine to see if it just dumps off into the bilge or if it runs into the sump. Never paid much attention to it.

Until your wife complains of the musty water smell from the middle storage compartment in the floor !
I wouldn't doubt mine is supposed to drain to the bilge. The second middle a/c unit has a garden hose attached that is routed to the bilge.

I just can't figure out where the water is going and why it isn't draining faster. It drains but it takes a few hours.

Update - I ended up connecting a clear tube to the drain of the AC pan and running that into the middle storage space in the floor. Zip tied the tube all the way to the aft to the shower drain. I cut the shower drain in half and inserted a T pipe. I then connected the AC drain line into the T and tested with pouring water down in the AC tray. All is well and now the water drains into the shower sump (as it should) and is pumped overboard when the bilge float is triggered.

So do you have two ac units??? I am confused. I know on mine that it is under one of the dinette seats. There was a tube from their that goes into the shower sump... Just curious?

There is one unit under the power panel above the stairs and it blows to the aft cabin. That has a garden hose attached to the drain pan and goes to the bilge.
The second unit under the dinette seat is the one that I modified to drain to the shower sump.
So yours was routed to the shower sump by Sea Ray or you modified it ?

Yes, mine has a drain hose that goes to the shower sump... what size are you ac units?

Just had a post on water in the bilge and I'm thinking AC drain after reading this thread. I will check the drain lines this weekend but with having no water, bone dry bilge once cleaned up to having 1 gallon after running for 2-3 hours, and knowing the shafts and rudders are not leaking steers me to the AC.
