OEM faucet has to go for many reasons...one being I'm odd about faucets. A quick look last night before I left the boat had me thinking this one is REALLY going to suck to remove and install new.

Any advice or experience doing this that may keep me from not having a breakdown?

Get a faucet wrench attachment from home depot. It clicks on to a 3/8" extension, which goes on a 3/8" ratchet.
That's what I used when I changed my galley faucet. There is almost no room for a hand to get between the back of the sink and the bulkhead for the head.
It still toook a little while with the wrench attachment, but it worked.

I changed mine out when I got the boat. In fact I did the head one to. Send me a email and I will send you picture.

Not sure if you have the icemaker in the end of the cabinet or drawers. I had the icemaker and I removed it for access. Even with that it is still a biotch and I ended up cutting part of the faucet out. However, the destination is worth the journey.

Yep... sucks....

If you don't have the ice maker then the only way to acces the faucet is to take out the two drawers in front of the sink. You will need an 1 1/4 deep socket to get the nut off from under the sink as mine was counter bored flush so you can't get a wrench on it. The other side is 5/8 nut I think. Which ever faucet you go with make sure you get the reducing compression fittings to go with it and be sure to get a good quality faucet so you don't have to do it again. It is a two person job to do this successfully. I'm right down the road if you need help.
