I've owned the above boat for a few years. It's equipped with a Jabsco Toilet/Macerator Pump...which is plumbed to dump to a thru-hull.

Their are waste and vent fittings plumbed on the starboard gunnel...but the hoses attached to the above, and usinga mirror and some contortion have found that they are about 3' feet long and terminate between the head and aft cabin bulkheads, resting against the "floor" between the bulkheads,

Question: What was the factory location for the holdng tank, which obviously was never installed in my boat? There's a space forward of the engines on the starboard side which seems suitable. I'm just amazed that one was never installed with this setup!

Rod, I wish I could help you, but mine goes from the gunwale to a porta-potty type head. Kind of a pain to get pumped out so often! You are absolutely right about the space you mentioned, lots of room there. My head is sitting on a good sized step, so maybe it was supposed to be directly under it.

rod, the holding tank does go on the starboard side next to the fuel tank.if i have a pic i will post it for you

I had a portapotty and macerator setup on my 87 250. I decided I wanted a real toilet and holding tank. Cost was around $350-$400 by the time I bought the:
Jabsco toilet-sale for $100
20 gal tank plus fittings $110
fancy no odor hose $85
other hoses $40
new thru hull vent $15
home made vent filter $40 incl enough supplies to refill
solar shower bag for flush water $10- I have no intake thru hulls

I like having this setup except the long run through the mid cabin to the holding tank requires alot of water to keep flushed properly. I get barely double the use before pumping compare to my potty.

If I had it to do over I would modify my head floor and install a Sealand Traveler, sort of a combination real toilet sitting on a 10gallon holding tank and uses pressure water from your boat to flush. Price around the same and as easy to deal with as a portapotty.
