7.4L Overheating?

I just got a 268DA with a 7.4L. I started it up in the driveway with muffs on. The water temp gauge does not come up after a couple of minutes. There also doesn't appear to be any cooling water coming out of the outdrive. This is my first Bravo I. My previous boat with an Alpha I would always have water coming out, so I'm not sure if that's just a difference between Bravo and Alpha. Anyone have any ideas if my impeller pump is bad, the thermostat, or the gauge?

Impeller is in pump body on the lower front starboard side ....on the engine....check it.

Thanks, I pulled the impeller pump off...it had exploded in there. I think I found all the little bits and pieces.

Make sure that none is stuck in the hose as well
