7.4L just purchased boat , water in oil. How to identify issue ?

Hi Jeff, I noticed in your photos that the joint at the riser manifold connection looks quite rough. Hopefully you addressed this when you replaced the engine. Good Luck with her.
 
The machine shop prepared the surfaces they were all smooth .. Thx for the comment
