Its been a while since we have enjoyed late October weather in the north like this. Just got in from a nice run on the lake today. We averaged .9 gal./ mile and burned a decent 41 gallons. Sun was bright and all we needeed was a sweat shirt. We ended our day with a trip for a top off and pump out. The haul out is scheduled for 9:30 and tomorrow. Any one still in hoping for one last harah?

Heck Yeah!

I pulled my boat 4 wks ago due to kids sports' schedules, and have been kicking myself since!

11/07/07 last cruise. Jared of "Cuttin Edge" was kind enough to take me out for an evening criuse. We had flurries in the forecast but, luck was on our side. The only reminder of winter was the christmas music on the stereo. The cockpit air on the Cutting Edge kept us in summer spirits at 75 degrees. Ahh nothing like the sound of some fine tuned turbo desils guiding us effortlessly across Lake Michigan and up the Milwaukee river for a fine meal!
Well I believe that is a wrap of the best year I have had on the water. I hope some one else can still get out and enjoy yet one more day on the water. On that note Seasons Greeting to all!

Mike

Where was it 65 degrees? No location is given in your signature.

It wasn't even 65 in Charlotte yesterday but that is normally our daily average high at this time of the year,

Sorry Dave,

Milwaukee was the location. We hit 60 with sun today. I know better and will expect snow soon.

Well, it's the middle of November and we are right across the lake from you. 61 degrees today, t-shirt weather and boats going by the house. These guys really stetch the season and will probably end up pulling their boats in 34 degree rain blowing side ways. I put the snow tires on the Audi TT, the chains on the tractor and the boat is high and dry and ready to be waxed this winter. Got my wood stacked in the garage and on the patio and we are ready for the duration. Now if the leaves would only come down!

What in the world were you doing in Cudahy?? I've driven through never stopped. Come back in summer check out Summerfest. The worlds largest music festival. End of June begining of July. Our marina has all state of the art floating piers and a new state park with Docks right at Summerfest. A great place to boat!

SBW1-
One Maple, One red oak still holding on here. Pool has been buttoned up since Oct. 5Th. The good news- The insurance stays on the 930 till the first snow, then its the Volvo XC 70 Ocean Race edition.
I have one friend w/ 420 still in at Milwaukee Yatch Club. went for a dinner cruise last week. It was 75 with the cockpit heat on. We crossed to Mi this summer. We will be back and headed up to Charlivox in July with a group of dock neighbors. Michigan is a great boating destination.

Escapde....I work in R&D for a subsidiary of Smithfield who owns the Patrick Cudahy facility there. I had to travel up there for business. Interesting little town for sure. Spent most of my short stint there down in Milwaukee Ale house watching my Boston Red Sox!!!
Would love to check out that music fest...sounds like a blast, who usually plays that venue>?

Mike, Enjoy the winter and have a great trip to northern Michigan next summer. That part of the Lake is one of our favorites. We also enjoy Milwaukee and the SSYC although it has been awhile since we have visited. The leaves are finally starting to fall here but the "work" this weekend will be watching the Michigan/Ohio State game in front of the fire place. May venture out into the yard after that. SBW

I take it you sampled some local brew at the Ale house. About the fest, This summer we had Roger Waters, Blue Oyster Colt, Steeley Dan, John Mayer, Def Leppard & George Thorogood to name a few. They must have eight stages and they cover most music tastes except: As you can see it is all music towards the 28 and up crowd. No rap or young music. They steer towards the boomers a bit with 70's bands and that suits us perfect. The place opens at noon and closes at midnight. We rent the whloe marina at the park for one night and just have a great time. Check out Summerfest.com

We have seen Patric Cudahy sponsor some great events around town from sport fishing tounements to kids events. Thanks You very much these evnts are not posible with out support from corporations like yours!

This is the first year I have had any intrest from oldest daughter on the big ten football. She is a freshman at Wisconsin this year and even knew most of the players names last Saturday! She even commented on the Michigan / Ohio State game for this weekend. I don't dare bring up when she was a kid leaving games early becuase she was cold or board and wanted to go home to mom. I'm begining to think this higher education is paying off for her! Enjoy the game!
