58 Sedan Bridge Official Thread

Thanks for your response. I have looked at the system set up and it doesn’t show any gps at all. I’m assuming those aren’t even connected. I’ll just run the new 150 and start fresh.

Steve, can you tell us your hull number? Must have been one of the last ones built, I think...

Master head and Guest head fan question…..just to confirm….when i turn on the fan for the master head it also turns the fan on in the guest head and vice versa. is this actually correct or could someone have wired this wrong long before we bought the boat? Also, has anyone ever replaced the fans with newer quieter fans ( can that even be done?)? Thanks!
That’s how mine works and I hate it.

I am 99% sure it's one fan with an opening in fwd and master heads. I would guess it's under the shower seat based on how it sounds. Probably a panel in the side of the master sink cabinet.

The hull number is Seay1772F213. Doesn’t look like the end of run but I don’t know how many 13’s were made.

That would be the HIN... and probably SERY1... seems to equate to the 772nd hull the built at Sykes Creek, started in June 2013.

Sea Ray also assigned a separate hull number for boats in a given series, and ours for example is 535... 35th 58DB. Your 58DB hull number is engraved belie the HIN on the starboard quarter. Probably.

Chris - I'm looking at your picture - Pewter Hull - did you have any gelcoat problems with it?

Not that I've seen yet. There are some scratches on it in a few places, but that's all down to previous owners, not because it's pewter. Ditto a little dock rash on the white part above the rubrail on our port side, previous owners.

I know I'm partial, but I sure think these are beautiful boats in all the various hull colors!

I agree! Quick question carterchapman…did you have your back shade made or was it already on your boat when you purchased it?
It was on the boat when we got it. We’ve now had it recovered in captain navy Sunbrella.

It was made in Fort Lauderdale, and I can’t remember who else here bought a 58 and it has the exact same framework. Picture in next post shows the framework a little better

Here’s a shot with the new captain navy canvas on it.

I'm surprised Sea Ray named our hull color "pewter." All of our household pewter things -- platters, goblets, tankards, etc. -- are dull (unpolished) nickel/silver/stainless steel in color.

Our hull color looks brown, to me.

Diaper Brown or Pewter - marketing. I have the Pewter hull also and really like it. More work to keep it looking good but worth it...
