One of the boats I am looking at living aboard is a 55 Sedan Bridge. Actually I am looking at 2 of them. One is a 95, the othe ris a 97. Any opinions or commenst? Would either of these make a good live aboard?

I have a 1998 550 DB that my wife and I live aboard for the winter months in Hilton Head, SC. For two people, it has enough room and storage space. There is also plenty of outdoor room to get away from your significant other on occasion. One of the great things about the 550 is the size of the dinette table. It is extra deep and adjustable in height so it can be used as an office and dining are as needed. I'm not sure exactly where you're planning to spend the winter months, but if it's in a cold climate you'll have to pay attention to condensation in the closets that abut the hull sides and make sure you have some small auxillary heaters when the water temperature gets below 40 degrees F.

Other than that, have fun.

I have a 1995 550SB that has the lower helm. My dinette is an actual table with four chairs, plus there are two stools to use at the breakfast bar.

There's plenty of room for two people to live on for extended periods of time. Lots of storage, good heat/a/c units, and it's a very stable boat.

Any specific questions you have???

Dude you are keeping the boating business booming here in the Northern Neck.

Didn't you just upgrade?

Good luck with your search

I was toying with the idea of buying a live-aboard. I did some research and actually put the house up for sale. I had eventually decided on a 58' Hatteras. But as you can see, I still have the house and the 340. Oh well, it worked out better that way. Lol!

I didn't know you had the lower helm. Can you post pics please? Sorry for the creep.
