500/520 DB official thread

Jeremy, if possible, post a pic at night, or let us know what kind of output you get in the dark. I'd love the red to not attract bugs. Mike
Will do when I am here at night.
Here is my 340da with 2 of the same lights in the arch.

What's her hourly rate?
I haven’t done the math but between dance classes, dance costumes, summer camp and all other things that she has going it is high.

I know that feeling. They will outgrow me soon. The kid on the left was the one upside down under the TV last year.

Spike I love seeing your power steering ram access. My generator sits where your right arm is resting and I had to climb behind it to access mine in '18. NOT FUN!!!

And he doesn't have a davit which sits right where that young fella is wedged in.

Twin teenaged boys can be useful besides eating us out of house and home :) We did have to remove a spare prop, and damn if that was hard as crap to lift off of the spindle. Mike

FYI, I removed my spare prop mount in the bilge and put them under the VIP stateroom bed. There is plenty of room with them in there to still store other items. I don’t go under there much but use the storage in the bilge all the time. Makes it much easier to move around down there.

Jeremy, how did you secure them under the bed? That an interesting thought. Mike

Great idea Jeremy. I pulled my spare props and mount out of the boat and put them in the garage. Figured I could always have them shipped if truly needed. Would need to pull the boat to replace anyway.

Also thought if I took a big trip south that would be a good time to carry them with me. If I do I will put them under the VIP bed. Again great idea. The starboard side of that bed is almost mid ship so probably distributes the weight pretty well.

There is carpeting in there so I just wedged them against the sides and put towels between them so they don't hit each other. Ran for 120hrs last year with them there and not an issue.

I thought about keeping them at home but for me they are not in my way at all under the bed so better off to have them with me.

+++1. Even though my boat is slightly different, as you all have said, when I bought the 58, the spare props were located in the “JO Bunkroom” instead of the ER. They are hell to lift out and move when they need to be, but a “Jackson” makes it a lot easier!

+1 as well as put spare props in bobble wrap under guest bed. We travel to KW and LI sound so props go where we go. Craftsman six draw tool box with lift up access to top tool box sits just in front of water heater with macerator right above WH.

I keep the same toolbox in the same place.
