Just moved 390 MY to new location. New slip has a double 30 amp hookup. My boat is 50 amp. I'm told I need a pigtail fitting to split my 50 socket into two 30's.

to me that sounds like 60 amps coming into the boat. Is that OK?

Also, the slip hook ups are GFI protected. A neighbor told me SeaRays can have problems with GFIs because of the on board breakers. Any thoughts?

Can't answer the GFI issue, but the two 30's are each 120V. If the 50A is 50/240 (or 250) then it is really two 50A x 120V.

Don't believe the GFI problem rumor. Get an two 30 amp male to 50 amp female adapter and it will work just fine. The total amp draw will be limited to 50 amps but that will be more than adequate.

Been there and done that.....the reverse "Y" connector with a 50a and 2 - 30amp to the pedestals are around $300 on a good day.

Marinco Shore Power Reverse Y Adapter Model #: RY504-2-30.

I used this adapter when I had my boat in New York. The only issue I had was when all 4 of my AC's would be on it would trip the dockside breaker. This issue was more then likely a marina power issue at my slip.
