We have a 5.7L Mercruiser Bravo 3 EFI that will not start. It will turn over for days but will not fire off. We have lanyard hooked up, sufficient battery power, compression, spark, holds fuel pressure, Injectors are lined up and injecting. Still won't crank up.

What boat is this in? You can add this to your signature for future use.

2008 Chaparral 244 Sunesta. It is not our boat. It is a boat that we are working on.

OK. You do realize that this is a Sea Ray forum?

Have you verified spark at all 8 plugs? Have you tried starting it with the flame arrestor off to make sure you've got good air? You mentioned seeing the fuel spray out of the injectors into the throttle body, so maybe you did? How does the spray look? Try some starting fluid.

Also... try advancing the throttle about half way. Those older IAC's are much more reliable than the new ones, but it's still a possibility.

But... are you sure it's an EFI? Not an MPI? I'm surprised Chap was still using the older injection/computer system.
