Hey guys! Wanted to get your opinions on what may be wrong with the engine on my 1997 210BR.
Boat is in a freshwater wetslip and we headed out last Sat. I noticed right away that rpms were a little higher than normal (going 25 mph at 4000 rpm). Cruised about 15 min and started hearing a rattling in the engine compartment so we slowed down to idle and noticed a little white smoke coming from the hatch. We headed back to the dock and as we got there, the rpms and speed started to drop and eventually the engine died. :smt013
Thank God we were back at the dock and could pull the boat back in. Engine would not start back up. Checked prop and it was tight but noticed a lot of algae growth under the boat. We have a mechanic at the dock that will look at it but will take 3 weeks! Any ideas as to what the problem may be?
Thanks!
