5.0 mercruiser noise?

I have a 1999 searay sundeck 210 with a 5.0 mercruiser and today when I came down to no wake I noticed a ticking, tapping noise coming from the engine compartment. When I opened it up there is definitely some kind of noise (ticking, tapping) coming from the engine. I'm a beginner marine mechanic but it sounded like maybe a bearing going on one of the pulleys? If anyone can help diagnos this better thanks in advance for the help.

Remove the accessory belt and run the engine for a brief time to see if the noise is there or not.

With the engine off, spin the pulleys by hand to see if you can find the culprit.

Thanks y'all! Heard from the marina this morning. Circulating pump bearings are junk. Anyone know what a reasonable price for parts and labor should be?
