496 mag issue. 2005

Yes, and boat runs terrific. It resolved many issues.
That’s great - I’m still struggling to find someone who will do this. I’ve taken several days off to talk with several service departments and most say they aren’t covering it like I explained. I’m waiting on my last hope to get back to me tomorrow. One dealer told me to figure on about $6,000 if they don’t cover it. Labor there is $175/hr.

Do you remember how many hours they charged for? Did they replace the injectors or have them cleaned?

Thanks

Washburns charged me $600.00 per motor. This included everything. Cockpit floor covering, rags, environmental charges, test run, and other misc minor items. They sent my injectors out and had them professionally cleaned. That was $626.00 for both motors injectors - Merc pickup that expense. They have done more than 20 8.1s / 496s Too bad you are so far away, they do great work and their labor charge for gas engines is @ $135.00/hr. Of course there is the hauling and blocking fee's as this is done on the hard, at least mine was as we did OD work and painting as well.
