OOPS, make that superbrightleds.com
I have ordered some LED bulbs through Amazon and have found that the bulb is too long to fit in the light housing with the glass intact. The G4 LED bulb is longer than the incandescent bulb and hits the glass. I have broken one my glass lens when I tried to hamfist it back together. Let me know if these bulbs fit. Another guy on my dock had the same problem.

The marinebeam leds although a little more money were an exact fit and did not interfere with my VHF radio. Was a simple swap.

I’ve replaced all bulbs with LED except the salon dimmable lights. Has anybody found a bulb that works with the dimmer?

Aaron - I put blue LEDs in my Bridge lights. If you leave one incandescent bulb in, they will all dim. Don’t ask me why, but it works! At least on 24V. My salon dimmables are 120V as I recall - not sure about yours....

The bridge fixtures on my boat hold two lamps each and are dimmable from the helm switch; the lamps install sideways. I replaced all of the halogen incandescent lamps with Marinebeam.com SP-G4-21X-WW dimmable LED lamps. These are all 12VDC. The dimming works just fine.....
Regarding dimming LED's the dimmer must be a pulse width modulating (PWM) style and not a voltage reduction (rheostat) style. The later SR boats all had PWM dimmers.

I have a Nautical Structures swim platform on my 01 DB480. The Admiral and I love lowering it in the water and sitting on the platform with a drink in hand during the day with friends. The platform works great but my one complaint was if it was not lowered all the way, it would tilt towards the port or starboard if the weight was not equal on both sides. The admiral is a little short in the pants and it being lowered all the way was "too deep". I contacted Nautical Structures and they have the parts to prevent this tilting, which I have ordered. It looks like a straight forward install. The boat does not have to be hauled out and everything (hoses and valves) are clearly marked for hookup. It will be my first thing on the "to do" list in the spring. My question is, has anybody else did this install and am I overlooking how easy it will be to disassemble and reassemble?

Rick at Nautical Structures is about as good of customer service as a boater can get. He provided a diagram of how to install and stated that their later versions of their swim platforms come with these parts included.

Has anyone taken the bunk room bed and bolster out? The mat rial is getting thin and I would like to remove and have new material.

Yes, the screws are between the pleats on the bolster. Access the screws for the bottom cushion through the drawers underneath.

Thanks QT. I thought they were there but could not find. I will look again this weekend. I am also removing the paneling, so I hope those are Christmas trees.

The overhead panel is screwed in also, I never came across any Christmas trees while rerouting the galley sink drain overboard. Sea Ray screwed the panels then tucked the extra material in so start by carefully pulling at the material on the sides of the panels.

Thanks, I was wondering if it really was a screw and tuck of the fabric. This will make it a lot easier. I also plan to run sink overboard once I have opened up this area. Y'all gave me this idea a year or so ago.

The fan in my port side guest head has failed. Can anyone tell me where it is and how to access it? Thanks!
If in the same location as my boat it is behind the shower enclosure next to the medicine cabinet. For my boat, inside of the medicine cabinet there is a removable panel on the shower side of the cabinet; that is access to the shower valve and ventilation fan. However, to change the fan as I had to recently, the entire medicine cabinet required removal.

Anyone re-bed the oval port holes in the state rooms or heads? Have multiple ones showing signs of leaking. Couple have the dog ears broken off. Looks like the water is coming in from around the frame and not the window gasket material leaking. Any tips? Thanks. Dave
