Has anybody replaced the shower door sweep on the port bathroom bi-fold door? I ordered what I thought was a replacement online but the “T” shape that slides in the track was too large...

I’ve noticed the same door lock issue with ours. Always opens after a few mins though.
When I want to open ours during the dry cycle to check, I just shut it off, wait two minutes, and the door clicks and unlocks. After I check progress (I like to get things out before the "wrinkling" begins - LOL!), I just close the door and turn it on and it resumes the dry cycle where it left off....

Hello everyone. First post here. I somehow shorted all portside outlets when turning on my generator. I’m hoping it’s just a GFCI issue. I plan to try and find the GFCI outlet tomorrow, but if anyone can tell me the location for the one of the port side, I’d appreciate it, and it’ll save me time.

Hi just need a bit of info , I have QSM 11s 635 hp in my sedan bridge 48 , we did some sea trials on the weekend and came up with 1800 rpm 18.3 GPH and 68% load
We also did WOT and came out at 2380 rpm and 29.7 knots does sound like we should be in the right rev range to stop the motors getting to hot to cause exhaust manifolds issues from getting to hot
Thanks Steve

This has been discussed quite a few times in this thread, unfortunately it's hard to find it in 113 pages... In short, you should be around 18 GPH @ 2000 RPM so you need to remove some pitch. I'm in the range now and my load is in the high 50's with a 900 degree EGT.

Chances are the damage has already been done if the boat's been run that way for 15 years.

Yes, but I can't remember whether I ordered it from Taylor Made or Sea Ray (Marine Max). Here are the part numbers for the door assy: Taylor Made bi-fold port head shower door assembly #703-851-700. Sea Ray part #993121. Taylor Made Customer Service 518-773-0636 (Donna). It is very hard to get into the track. When you get the right one try using dish soap to lubricate it.

I am moving up to an 01 480DB from a 97 400DB this week and my search is on for a aft bench seat since the 480 does not have one. My 400 has one and we have grown to like the extra storage and seating it provides. Question one: Does anybody have one they want to part with? Question two: Where would I go to find one? I have searched the internet a little and trying to find any used parts is a chore.

I am pumped about moving up to a bigger boat, but owning two boats right now makes my brain hurt.

Need some help finding location of windless circuit breaker.
I got the windless jammed yesterday. As soon as it jamed, it shut down. I got the jammed chain links out, but can't find the circuit breaker to see if it tripped. I think it may have tripped as soon as the chain link got caught up and caused the jam.
I looked around, but can't find it.
Any help would be appreciated.

It's on the bottom left hand side of the main DC breaker panel under the stairs to the bridge. And, of course, make sure your rocker switch on the helm is on.

Good luck with the new boat. I hate to say it but your chances of finding a cockpit bench seat are about slim to none.

Has anyone replaced the engine room halon system in their 480? Obviously, you can't get halon anymore but I'm curious what the cost of replacing the halon system is?

I realize that's a multi-faceted question. Do you actually rip out the halon system and install a non-halon system, or do you install the new system along side the older halon system? What's the right way? And what are the costs of both?

Thanks,
Steve

When I had my Halon bottle certified this spring, I asked this same question. I was told that the "new stuff" is not as good as Halon, thus requiring a larger volume/larger bottle. There's not a lot of room on my 420 to increase the size of the bottle.

Crime Scene, I have one that is currently not installed on the boat. My 480 unfortunately is going up for sale soon. IF the new owner has no interest in it, then I can offer it to you. Boat should be listed by end of next week. I removed it for more entertainment and fishing space. I have trolling valves on my 480 to slow the boat for fishing/trolling. BTW your speed at idle, both engines in gear and not on "Slow Speed", is a bit over 8 mph. on "Slow Speed" it's still over 5 mph.

Congrats on the new DB
