48 DA Owners Club

Ok day one removed the old, marked and cut. Then decided to go ahead and test the new VesselView 7 that I got. Fellow member RLynch really helped out getting me the info on all the harnesses and “PLUG & PRAY” worked perfect first time!!! Now that it is tested I can move forward with building a custom mount to fit it where it doesn’t fit...LOL. As for the MFD’s they are cut and fitted so tomorrow I will finish cleaning and wiring everything up. I am super happy so far, can’t wait to see them powered up tomorrow...

Hey Ottasea2,

I upgraded my steering wheel with the same Isotta but it doesn't have the Sea Ray logo. Did it come with yours or did you have it embroidered?
Thanks.

Andy

I made the center cap it is machined out of aluminum and painted. do you have your stock steering wheel still?

And that is a wrap on our first season with her. Managed to put just over 100 hours on her since the beginning of June. A few more things to winterize and a coat of wax before shrink wrap.
Spring can't get here soon enough!

Anyone happen to know what the Transom Anode is?

Also, the anodes for the GHS Swim platform are T-20s (4 of them) in case anyone needed that.

Thanks!

Looks good Shaps.. Glad you had a great first season. While technically my season never ends down here, I wish I would have gotten in more trips but the weather and Covid just never came together to make that happen. Either way great summer also with my new boat and got so much done I can't be happier.

Well this yard trip was not cheap. It all started with, "I think I want some new lights". I'm ready for next season though and Spring is only in 126 days.

Thanks @ocgrant
You truly got a lot done. How did the new vesselview install go? Have you been out since you put in the new MFDs?

Those look great. Your bottom came out clean too! How do you like the propspeed?

It had been a year since the last coating of propspeed and everything that was coated was spotless. If you have the time and the facility to do this yourself, I'd say it's worth it. It was expensive to have the yard do it considering it couldn't have taken them more than a few hours to re-sand everything.
