Well they put her back in the water today... Had new bottom paint, prop speed, fixed 2 spots that were found as manufacture defect and de-lamming, cleaned out all the through hulls and replaced those hoses. Picking her up Tuesday to take her home and then the engine work starts. Thanks to the wonderfull team at First Performance Marine in Ft. Lauderdale. They are truly a first class operationView attachment 79903 View attachment 79904 View attachment 79905 View attachment 79906

Looks great, Did you have a barrier coat put on? We just had out bottom blasted back to gel coat, any voids repaired then had inter-protect applied before putting new bottom paint on.

Anyone have a recommendation on a Freshwater replacement pump for the Shurflo 5.7 gpm 5901-0201? Basically my water pump went out and want to see what others have done. Having problems finding the exact pump. Is there a replacement?

Yes I have learned from past boats to always keep an extra one on the boat, you never know and it can ruin a trip when you are someplace that has no marine supplies.

Ok spend yesterday working on the forward and aft cabin ac units because they where shutting down. Found both drain lines going to the manifold where plugged. Got those fixed and did barrnical buster treatments on both units to insure they are clean. Tested and working great now. Decided since I had my flush kit there I would flush the salon and upper helm units. Went to the access panel in the aft cabin for the salon unit and was shocked when I opened it that there is zero access to the cooling hoses from that hatch. Crazy they would do that... Anyone every worked on this unit? Can I get to it from the front cabinet? Next the helm unit isn't much easier very tight and poor access. Decided I would re-think these and circle back as I was already running short on time.

I'm looking for a solution or replacement to hold the sunshade shut under the main skylight on the deck. My magnets seem to have lost their power. Has anyone had this issue and/or come up with a solution? I found the part number for the sunshade (1777210), I'm just not sure it would include the magnet attached to the window frame as well.

How about trying some small piece or pieces of thin magnetic tape.

Busy weekend and checked bunch of stuff off the list of "to-do's" since the motors are apart getting the 1000 hour service and weather in Ft Lauderdale was a chilly
1. Installed my table
2. re-finished my teak steps and floor (sanded and applied SEMCO teak sealer)
3. Installed my grill
4. Fixed the "dogs" on my windows in the bathrooms
5. Installed my AIS unit and got it working

Awesome! Can you detail what you needed to do with the ‘dogs’? Did you have to drill out and retap?

yep, used dremel to flatten out rusted screws to the frame, center punched and then drilled out. Turns out there are nut serts behind the stainless so since they are effectively trashed I just used self tapping sheet metal high grade stainless screws which seemed to work fine. I am missing a couple of dogs since the previous owner probably threw them away but I spoke with Bomar and ordered them for $7.00 each. So a couple left to do when they arrive and ordered a couple of spares for future use.

What Grill did you choose? I was looking at a newport infrared.

Yes I went with the Monterey IR this time. Had the one size down for the last decade and it was not the IR but it worked great. I think their IR technology is a bit of a joke but hey if it is blowing that hard don’t cook.... I wanted bigger this time as it was always a battle to fit everything on the grill at once. I used it Saturday night and worked perfect, happy with my selection. Next is to install my grilling table next to it.

Tell us the process of getting your teak looking so good. Did you use a sealer or teak oil ?
Obrital sander with 220 grit paper to take off the top layer and flatten it out (steps were in bad shape) & hand sand around the edges, then Semco teak sealer "honey" color. It is messy with dust everywhere, so sand it and then wash the whole boat let it dry good then come back and 2-3 coats of sealer. Took probably 6 hours to do everything.

Floors look great!

I had myself an all floors weekend last week too! Sanding was a mess but all in all I think they came out decent.

Anyone have a decent diagram of the cockpit door? I have cleaned the tracks and still feel it "loose" with a lot of play up and down on the upper track towards the windscreen. Wondering how do you service this thing and what parts do I need? I just want to get it "tight & smooth". Any tips and help much appreciated.

Here's the parts diagram from the parts manual. Mine was almost impossible to open/close when I purchased it, and only needed a thorough cleaning.
