I Have a rectangular Magma Grill, i've been debating on what type of mount to get I was hoping to get some input from folks that have one, Rail mount (Stern Hatch), fishing rod holder, pedestal type on the swim platform or any other kind that is available... all advise is appreciated!
I have the same grill (came from PO) with a fishing rod holder. When we take it, I keep it on the stbd side, out of the way til we want to use it, then move it to the port side by the transom door. It's fine. i couldn't see putting it on the rail of the stern hatch. YMMV. Swim platform doesnt work for me, Keep the dinghy back there. @ocgrant has a nice platform setup, even plumbed it to a good size propane tank.
Here you go, I have no idea what page in this post that project was on. So here is a couple pics. Not for use when running but comes down quickly and stores in the coffin.
Here is an other question I need re-caulk my windshield and deck seams, what color would you use for the side windows and windshield (Black or White) I currently have white however black might be a little cleaner down the road... also any sealant brand recommendations are welcome!!!
i'll dig up some pics later, but i used this for the lower windshield and i am going to be using the same for bottom of the side windows. https://industry.sika.com/en/home/transportation/caravan-and-motorhomes/sikaflex-295-uv.html
Thank you! Yessir, masking tape, and rubbing alcohol to make it lay down smooth. I used a gloved finger and sprinkled the alcohol on the caulking as i worked it.
How about a custom install like this 48da has? I had an offer on a 48da fall through last year and had I bought it, would have done one of these.
First outing last night to test run everything and don’t you know it, I get another winter gremlin. Was approaching 20 mph and my starboard motor kicks out a nasty message on my vessel view “132 sensor throttle low” Engine then kicks into guard mode and run at idle speed. Anyone have any ideas what to check? I am at a loss on this one. Thanks JB
Turns out there's an old thread on this: http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php...-does-this-mean-leaving-so-need-advice.53276/
Thank you for the link. Not sure what to look for from the info provided. It’s more than clearing a code. I will have to find a marine Cummins service company at this point
Looks like there's a thread on BoatDiesel as well with some troubleshooting stepsl: https://boatdiesel.com/Forums/Cummi...e-low-in-starboard-engine-QSB5-9-380-2009.cfm You'd need a subscription to fully view, but I've found the site to be useful in the past.
@JB MARSHALL How old are your batteries? As mentioned above, these can be very sensitive to voltage. I think i would make sure I have a full charge on my batteries or consider replacing.
Both batteries are in good condition, one is a year old and the other is two. I did have the batteries disconnected all winter but I can’t imagine that had anything to do with it. I just returned from the marina, we ran it, no alarms no throttle issues and it ran like a champ. What the heck??? Going to run it some more Thur & Fri as we are scheduled to leave Saturday morning for a 7 hr trip This issue is going to haunt me ….
