oil pressure is normal like that because of the remote mount oil filter on the port side motor. Shaps may be different because of the PODS not sure. As far ans VV7 yes it can you just need a complete VV7 unit and these harnesses

as grant said 100% compatible. I went from a VV7 that the prev owner had installed to a vv703. There was 1 or 2 additional cables required from mercury but it was all plug and play. You do need a NMEA 2K network as well bit that's pretty trivial. I posted the rigging docs from mercury here somewhere. Let me know if you need them. They are effectively what @ocgrant posted.

the 6.8 ft is what i have below the boat and that is like heaven for much of the channels in 'great south pond'!

Edit:
I do have the remote mount oil filter as well, which I am told does account for the difference in oil pressure across the engines.

6.8 feet of depth is actually pretty good for the sandbox of the South Shore of Long Island.
 
Shaps, if you have any scans or info from prop rework I would appreciate any guidance you could provide . Looks like your boat was FLYING . I don't want to be left in your wake !! Lol

Let me find the prop scan results. They are on the boat. I'll get them and upload them.
 
Tried our washer/dryer for the first time… unit will not drain. Does anyone know how to safely remove the bottom trim so I can access the manual drain? Looks like we have to remove the unit to replace the drain pump as well. Ughhhhhh.

I don't have the Dockmate but know several owners that do and they find the system enables more enjoyment and less stress in their boating. From what they tell me there are a host of options you can get from basic drive operation to drive and thrusters to drive, thrusters, and anchor. Those I know get the drive and thruster features. From what I understand they have around $12K invested in the system. A friend on this forum builds a knock-off of this system - you may want to reach out to @Carpediem44DB and pick his brain also.

Hi Tom! The Dockmate is installed and we LOVE IT! Total game changer, the wind and current at our marina can be tricky at times. Less stress docking for sure :)

Pump impeller is just stuck most likely. Fixed a couple of these. Just gain your access and use a tool to free up the impeller and then try again.
 
Thanks Shaps, much appreciated . I had shafts ceramiced and will keep you posted . The place turned them around quickly and the entire process seems very straight forward . if you decide to do yours in the off season I gladly tell you all the things I've learned .Thanks again .

Thank you! We will give that a try. I assume we have to lay the unit on it’s back to access the impeller? Do you know the best way to remove the trim without damaging it?

On the ones I fixed there was a simple access panel on the front of the washer to have access to pump easily. Just did a manual drain with a plastic shoe box to get the water out slowly then removed the cap that exposed the impeller and freed it up. Took all of 15 minutes and we were washing and draining. Look for a exploded diagram of your unit. I don’t think you have to take anything apart really.

Remove the hatch below the helm and look in there. I can't remember specifically if you can see it from there or not. You may have to remove the screws holding the helm panel on and gently tilt the panel with the MFDs toward you.

Shaps,Thanks for scans .As I find out how to read them I'll let you know .Once I get in water I'll get some speed and RPM numbers so we can compare .
