Hi All, Just been having fun the past couple years upgrading the 460 we own. Rather than post a ton of pics...I have a Shutterfly site that shows everything...some fun stuff and some boring stuff, nonetheless a bunch of upgrades that were easy to do. (except for the recent trim replacement...LOL) Enjoy: https://wolfsden460sundancer.shutterfly.com/pictures Merry Christmas!!
I ordered the radius curved trim from Kathy Olson Kathy@kofflersales.com at Koffler Sales: WWW.KOFFLERSALES.COM Part # (#rA60ACG) POLISHED CHROME, SCHLUTER TILE EDGING ANODIZED ALUMINUM ***** WITH A RADIUS CURVE , 1/4"H X98.5"L
Oh yeah....O.C.D. are my actual initials my friends tell me. I just say it's merely a hobby...that said, I like it to be as perfect as possible because, if I'm going to do something I might as well do it right!!
I spend a lot of time researching something before wanting to tackle it...LOL I must go over it 100 times in my mind and think through all possible problems, before cutting the first piece or drilling a hole. The stern thruster was a true...measure 80 times and drill...no wait, measure 20 more times THEN drill. I even went so far as to build a mock up of what the motor and mount would be like, then "installed" it in the bilge under genny to make sure it would fit and clear the through hull fittings, this was the scariest hole to drill!! My fiberglass guy always says, "if you screw it up I can fix it, so have at it!!!" The flooring was fun...for that I enlisted my buddy with a digitizing machine. After he digitized the floor we took it to his computer and laid out every piece to see how they would fit and align with the hatch holes. We didn't want a piece to be 1/2" short of the edge of a hatch, so this took some time. After all that was done, we sent the layout to the CNC and I placed all the flooring pieces on the table just right so as to eliminate as much waste as possible. After routing it all out, I numbered every piece so I knew where it went on the boat. We had to do this process in 4 stages as the CNC table is only 6' X 10' and the salon floor is much larger. Getting the pieces from cut 1 to align with cut 2, 3 and 4 was also fun, but with a little thought we got it. Once it was all cut I merely had to go to the boat and put it together by following the numbers...it was pretty slick and went very fast.....but it was a lot of planning! The recent trim job was the hardest of them all...this is definitely a job that tested my ability. This did take many tools out of the box and some creativity in some areas. The trim is installed long before the cabinets ever go into the boat! It was a total PIA! Worth it, but a PIA!!! All in all, just can't sit still and there is always something to do. Just trying not to go too far so that another person will want to purchase the boat some day. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
This is only the second time I've seen a liquor dispenser on a boat like that. I can't think of a better way to get really schnockered than to have that kind of access - "touch of a button". Yikes
All in moderation. Never on while cruising or the boat is in motion though. At the docks, a different story altogether. In reality, it keeps the counters clear of having all the different bottles out. As you can see, the 460 is a large boat, but seriously lacks cockpit counter space.
This was the cheapest place I could find them...same exact quality as the other outlets, just a slightly better price. https://www.apollolighting.com/search-results-page?q=Idea+Placca+Classica+Metal+Pol.+Chrome+
