450EC and 480 Sedan Cored hulls?

Long time lurker first time poster.

I am looking at 2001 and later 450 express and 480DBs. I'm having a hard time getting a consistent answer on if the hulls are cored. Does anybody know or have a site they could point me to for the research? Thanks in advance.

i have done the same research.
the best i could do is take the hin's and call sea ray customer service.
they will be able to tell you the month and plant of manufacture, and then coring.
i think what you will find is that the below water is cored on all, the question is if the particular boat in question has the hull sides cored.

Call SR sport yacht customer service with HIN number and they will tell you the exact lay up.

I don't know anything about the 480. My research on 450EB and 460DA suggests that they use the same hull form and they were fully cored until mid-model year 2001. Post 2001, they have solid bottom and hullsides. But, don't take my word for it. Sea Ray, unlike many other builders, will gladly provide complete construction details on request.

Thanks for the responses. It explains why I've been getting differant answers. The answer seems to be "it depends" which is fine and I'm glad I can get the info from Sea Ray with the HIN. With a proper survey I can live with either it's just one of those things I want to know.

I'm in SoFla now looking at boats and the number available has my head spinning. Thanks again.
