Guys , the power cord is loose at the tv . How the heck do we acess the back of the tv ? The tv retracts in and out of the salon ceiling .

Thanx

After my new TV experience I think it's easier to just trade up.

Rob, with the TV retracted into the ceiling, remove the four screws that hold the panel. With this panel removed you can then access all of the inputs to the TV, including power. If this connection is not the problem, then with the TV in the down position, remove the several black screws holding the thin panel in place above where the TV retracts. This will give you access to the raceway above the ceiling and to the power connection.

Rob, Once you've replaced your TV can you post what you replaced it with. I'd be curious if you went bigger and how you'd make it fit. Also, I have an '05 420 with the retractable mounting like yours but mine's not HD. Did the newer 44's have HD or SD TV's?

Good luck.

Jim,
Thanx ! I never put the tv up anymore ! I was like Dugh !

Brian,

Jim, I followed your flooring thread and reviewed your detailed photobucket pictures. Did you happen do take some pictures of your TV install as well?

Sorry, no pics of TV install. The replacement issue is the flat mounting plate on the existing frame will not fit any new TV. The solution is to make a larger plate as needed, allowing for access to all inputs on the new TV and bolt this to the existing. I used starboard but 3/4 " birch plywood would also work.
