So i posted a few weeks ago that my port side Windshield wiper isnt working . Turns out it has no power going to it . There is power at the module to the wiper but somethings blown or open between dash and the motor.

Now my STB side running light is out . Also no power. WTF... All the other lights work. Any thoughts... oh and there is zero access to the wiring under the deck . I think im going to cut a hole in the back of V berth this weekend.

I suggest you just give in and buy the new 48DA at SS3 and let them worry about your electrical issues.

Thoughts? Both of these problems sound like they are likely caused by salt water intrusion and corrosion of the electrical components or connections. If you can remove the STB running light, check the electrical connections that I think are directly under the light housing. The wiper motor could also have the same issues or maybe gremlins.

    Jim,
Sadly no corrosion. The stb side running light had zero play in wire. I could only get it an inch above the deck. I was looking for a splice. Same with wiper motor. I dropped the port side salon speaker and used a mirror wires are connect no visible splices and no power.... This sux .

Any access under the port nav light? Doubtful (but possible, I guess) that they ran a separate feed from the panel for each light. If that's the case, there's a good chance there would be a splice under the port light where the main feed would split to power the port light then continue up around the bow and back down for the stbd. light.

If you can access the wiring under the port light it's worth a look.

I cut out the entire back of the wifes Vberth cabinet. ( shes pissed ) anyway MFING crimp connector came apart. Cut a piece of starboard and im good to go.

It looks like it was never crimped.

Still working on the wiper thing...
