I decided to put my 390 EC in indoor rack storage. Never thought I'd see the day that something this big would be handled so easily.

Im envious - while our marina has a 40 ton lift the max capacity for the rack storage lift is 15,000 lbs. Since we wanted our boat rack stored we had to settle on a 280 DA.

We keep our boat on the hard in Washington. We pay 220 a month. What are rates in Florida?
As to keeping boat dry we found air movement is required and keeping the interior and exterior temperatures the same. Washington rains all winter and is very damp. One year we closed up the boat tight and spent most of the summer cleaning mold from areas we did not know existed.

South Florida is a whole different ballgame........ From Palm Beach to Miami a 30' indoor dry stack is $800 to $1000/mo. depending on the facility and proximity to an inlet......"semi sheltered" (open in front) or outside dry stacks further from an inlet run $500-$650/mo.....once you get up to Stuart and points north there places indoors for $500-600/mo. (again, this assumes a 30' cruiser) my experience on the west coast of Fla. and the keys is similar.....generally $500-$650 - these all include unlimited ins and outs, the use of work racks, washing and flushing after use...."static" or long term on the hard storage where you pay for your ins and outs is less prevalent in my experience.....

Thanks for rate info in Florida. Prices sound like Mexico in the Baja. We pay 60 in/out each way but only go out twice a year. Spring for 2 to 3 months and fall for 1 month. They allow you to do your own work on your boat in their yard without a fee and you do not need to uses their people.

We have "self-service" yards where you pay to get hauled out and pay "per day" that you are layed up.....great for diy bottom jobs or bringing in contractors to get stuff done....

$865 per month for this beast. Completely enclosed building rated to 150MPH winds. No charges for moving the boat or other daily charges. Since i'm ground level, I can access the boat in the building and perform maintenance or repairs within reason. They will also put it on work racks outside also at no extra charge.

Ken, you have the boat at 21,000lbs. Sea Ray list the dry weight of a 390EC @16,500. Is the 21k actually from the forklift gauge? If so was it loaded with fuel and water. I always thought the 16,550 was a low number.

I believe the Sea Ray weight numbers are dry weight... not loaded with full fuel, water, personal belongings etc.

21K was the number they told me. Not sure if there is a scale on the lift or not.

It's probably on the high side but 300 gallons of fuel is just shy of 1900 Lbs and my water tank is just 50 gallons but that would be another 400 Lbs.

That puts us pretty close to 19K so they probably assume a ton of extra stuff on board to be safe.

I imagine that lift has an integral scale so they know when they are close to their limit!

Never thought about that. I wonder if the boatyard I’m wintering in has one.....
I have to remember to ask them. Would be interested to see how much my boat weighs.

That massive lift made the boat look like a toy. That is amazing!

When I first bought mine, the lift at the yard had me at over 27,000 lbs.

It’s water logged-soaked to the stringers. HA JK!
Dude that’s scary to watch. I get nervous watching 20 footers bounce around on the forks! Cool to be able to pull it so easy tho and get it outta the elements!
