I recently completed my underwater light installation and added the switch to the blank accy spot on the long helm panel. Unfortunately the lower corner of the panel cracked when reinstalling it and now I’m looking to upgrade all the helm panels, including adding one to the upper right where the dash AC vent is, as well as a panel for the bottom left, where the factory installed auto pilot is located, knowing that when I upgrade the auto pilot with a Garmin unit, it will not cover the entire hole left by the Raymarine unit.
The chart plotters were installed by the PO and are starboard material wrapped in gray to pick up the gray in the woodgrain switch panel.
I haven’t contacted Tecnografic yet, but found out that Flounder Pounder offers all of these panels in different colors and can customize the switch panel to read & illuminate U/Water lights and FLIR in one of the other blank locations where I plan on installing a power switch for the camera I also recently installed.
Has anyone performed this upgrade and could you post some images so that I can get an idea on what colors look best with the pewter dash?
Steve

If I had to guess flounder pounder is subbing the work out to technographics.

Give techno a call, I have done three projects with them including my 44DA, they have been great to work with.

There is an old school grocery store style price tag on the back of your current panel with a 6 or 7 digit number. If you give them that they have the exact cutouts for your specific model/year/build date configuration. There were subtle changes from year to year.

I'm pretty sure that FP is doing thier own as the materials are different and FP sent me a couple of the circular cutouts from the panels I had them make. On the other hand in 2007 I am confident that Tecnografic was the OEM supplier. Just uesless info to pass on, both make quality panels. You can also get custom switch covers for your additions from new wire marine if you just want them to look great and not replace the whole panel. That switch row is a pita!
