Does anyone know where this particular component is, how to get to it, and how to winterize it? I thought I was done.....

thanks

There isn't a seperate pump for the windshield washers on the 420DA. That is why you need to have the water system 'on' to operate them. However, there is a 12VDC brass valve in the wiper washer line which opens a closes to allow the water to flow. According to the parts manual that you can download from the Sea Ray Archieves site (page 107), the valve is just north of the cold water line that feeds the cockpit sink (and icemaker if you have one). Probably under the port entertainment bar area in the cockpit. If you hit the dash switch, you should be able to hear it open and close.

ANyway, on my 380DA, I break the line right after the Fresh water holding tank and just before the fresh water pump which is located in the bilge storage area in the Master and then I plumb in a line which is connected to a bucket which I fill with pink AF....then I just turn on the pump and open up the faucets one at a time, starting with the furthest, until pink is everywhere....with the Windshield washer, I simply hit the dash mounted switch until I see sufficient Pink on the windshield....

Hope this helps......

Dominic,
Great information and most helpful. I looked in the owner's manual, but not the parts manual.
I've winterized the fresh water system, incuding the ice maker, so it seems as though I ought to be able to turn my fresh water pump back on, and run the winshiled washer until the pink stuff comes out.
Thank you again!
I will do a complete post on all my winterization lessons learned later today.
Shrink wrap guy arrives at the dock at 0930.
