I'm interesting in buying another boat and currently looking at a 2003 420 Sundancer with the Cummins 6CT 8.3M. Does anyone have experience with this configuration? What are the cursing speeds and fuel consumption? What would be the expecting life of that engine?

Well, I can curse at a pretty good clip, but I digress :)

I run 24-26 mph @ 2200 rpm; depending on load, tide, wind, etc. At cruise speed, the fuel consumption is right at 13 gph per engine, which gives you a performance of "about" 1.0 mpg.

PS...Great boat. Great engines.

Thank you for your feedback and looks like a great boat. I was also looking at the 38 but did not want gas and did not like the door in the center of the stern.
