I ordered the Ultra Stainless J Bottom from local SeaRay dealer a couple years ago. Can’t remember the length.
I have read other posts where people called TaylorMade direct with part number and length but told them their boat was a Bayliner. If you mention SeaRay they won’t sell to you !

8349030 Windshield Screw Cover Trim
clear1x1.gif

This is off flounder pounder site

Hopefully we're all talking about the same trim piece. If my boat wasn't wrapped up for winter I'd be sending a pic. In any case I'm needing to replace the "foam stripping" which covers the screws all along where the front windshield meets the deck. It seems to sit in a track of its own and is significantly "gapped". I'm hoping that once replaced along with caulking and tightening all screws I can stop the river of water I get that runs on the inside of the windshield base and eventually runs to the port sink area and then onto the floor during heavy rain!

ok flounder pounder had two trims . 8349030 and 8349040... Slightly different measurements.

Ok someone be the Guinea pig

Guys, after looking at countless google searches and other posts, my conclusion is that Sea Ray used a "cellular foam" material windshield screw cover trim...when my boat was new. That material clearly ages and seems to shrink. Mine, for example is quite gray in color and gapped at various places in the track where the windshield meets the deck on the outside leading to a river of water on the inside which winds up by my sink in heavy rain. Since then, the "new" replacement material is that sold by Flounder Pounder #8349030. Apparently it is also sold by Taylormadesystems with some additional fees. My boat is wrapped for winter so I cannot be the guinea pig for awhile.

U offered ... So now we all wait .. lol . If the weather keeps I expect u to pull ir wrap in the next 2 weeks .. Just saying ..

: )

Any suggestions where to stow the forward sunpad? The aft cabin seems to be the dumping ground and just wondering if anyone has a better solution

I had a new pad made at the beginning of last season. They also made a cover for it and it stayed on the bow all season with no issues.

I am going to do the same, do you remember what that cost you? My retaining tabs are gone and I really would like to have one with a "hinged" section to creata lounge and not just a pad??
thanks
chris

Any idea how much length this will take to do the entire front windshield - i might go ahead and order it up as I am getting a new dash panel for a nav screen i am changing out.

I am guessing here but I think the pad was $350 for the 3 pieces and the cover was $250.

I made the head section of the 3 sections twice as thick.. To make it a bit more comfortable .... No complaints so far.

In order to prop it up is a lot more complicated but doable... You just need the right canvas guy that can fabricate and do the upholstery

Thank you

U didn't build mold under the pad leaving it in place ?

Rob

Not on the cover at all. The pad has mesh on the bottom that is against the deck. It got a bit dirty under the pillow portion of the pad. At the end of the season I just cleaned it and it’s back to new again.
For me the hastle of taking it off and putting it on out weighed the possible shorter life

This tag is probably why my sunpad is in brandy new condition and got me started on a quest for storage suggestions.

Getting ready for our first full season and the manuals and warning labels are overwhelming sometimes

Mine sits pristinely in my garage.... Its pain in ass . A few boats that leave them on have mold and yellowing underneath. I guess if u never plan to take it off .. BUt I just cant

Rob

ok so the screw cover I'm being told is part # 8349030 Windshield Screw Cover Trim from flounder pounder.

There is NOTHER DISCUSSION IN general maintenance on here
