The Vizio 26, reattaching the stock mounting board and a adjustable swivel mount worked great in the MST and rear cabin.
4 screws in front easily removed both stock TV’s.
Now, on to finding a tv that is close in size to the salo television.
FYI, the Glomex does bring in about 30 to 40 channels without any adjustment.
Everything additional can stream off of a phone pretty well.
    Again
    Thanks for the help.

Interesting.....so what smart TV can be "seamlessly" mounted to the main salon analog flip down TV? Wont there be a size/shape issue with a new smart TV?

In 06 they added the bigger hull side windows and I believe upgraded the electronics on the dash. Other than that I believe they're identical.

Funny thing was my neighbor had an 06 44 and I had an 05 420. My haul-outs, bottom paint and weekly washes were cheaper than his. :)

Lol….. that 420 on the side has saved me 3’ of transient slip fees multiple times :) that’s the one time I won’t argue over length

Other changes include the TV moved to a flip down (gives a ton of extra cabinet space in galley) and the door to Master is sliding versus a hinged door and the opening is much wider.

There was also a change in engine packages - a bit fuzzy on dates as it's been a while but I think in 04 it was only 450C, 05 it was 450C or 480CE, and 06+ it was QSC.

I'm replacing my clarion stereo with a Fusion 770, have been searching for an hour and can not find the thread about routing a wire from the helm to behind the breaker panel in the cabin.
I remember reading once, that someone had found a chase hose that lead from the panel to the helm that they snaked. Any insight on the best way to route a NEMA wire to my backbone at the helm would be appreciated.

Those interior changes happened in 05. Also included additional trim and upgraded materials.

Don't know about the engines tho

The easiest and quickest is to go up thru the hardtop. It doesn't make sense until you do it...It is very simple, just takes a bit more wire.

Yes my 2005 has the hidden TV and the better access to front bed. I also have the 480 cummins.

A 24 inch TV will fit better than most anything. The cover panel comes off with four screws. You’ll need to take off the back wall off of the cabinet above the microwave to find the power.
The tv screws in place easily. There is a gap of about 1/4 inch on each side. A couple of inches top and bottom.
Paint the back side of the cover board with satin black paint and it looks relatively natural.
I also painted the white cable black since this picture to better blend it in.

Thanks for this info, it came in handy! I recently updated my Clarion CMD4 to a Fusion RA-770, replaced the factory cockpit amp with a Kicker model and eliminated the cabin amp since it was shot. I individually wired the salon and forward stateroom speakers to their own zones off the four zone Fusion head unit and was interested in reusing the cabin stereo switch to mute the salon speaker zones, but was having a problem figuring out how. Now I know it can't be done without an amp in place powering at least the salon speakers.

For such a small space, the sound I get in these two cabin zones that now run off the head unit is fine, but I will be adding Fusions 2-channel amp to them so the admiral can mute the two cabin zones at the flip of the switch without have to go to the stereo itself.

Does anyone know where I can find a 10' 8 pin DIN cord that matches the plugs on the new Sirius tuners, which are round with a flat bottom? The old tuner had a square plug that isn't compatible with the new head head unit, so I purchased a new tuner, but it only comes with a 2' cord. I want to locate it where the factory Sirius tuner was behind the couch to get it away from all the line voltage and where the antenna cable terminates, The cable needs to have a male plug on one end a female on the other.
The only ones I could find had a male on each end and missing the flat section on the bottom. Sirius does not have them.

Well looks like I will be saying good by to the 420/440 DA group if all goes well, I have learned so much from this forum, thanks all !!
Someone came up and asked if my boat was for sale and like we all answer “boats are always for sale” i threw out what I thought was a fair price and he said sure I’ll pay cash.
I’m taking the girl for one last 2 week trip in northern Lake Michigan before survey and sea trial, wish me luck :)
As fate would have it, my dock neighbors are selling their ‘06 48 DA, the stars are aligning.

Congrats, I hope it works out for everyone. Who needs brokers in a sellers market anyway?! I was on a friends 48DA the other day, love the space it offers and now considering putting my 44 up for sale.

I have 2-dock neighbors bugging me to death for me to name a price. The admiral says no! If we sold it for top dollar, I would have to buy one for top dollar and we are about to get this one very close to as perfect as it can get. I do not feel like starting over again.

Well I gave up today trying to fix the vaccuflush master head. That engineer who put that pump in front of the batteries needs to come up here and frickn crawl down there. I was down there 3 times. Replaced all duck bills….. same result :(….. today hired marina service ….. I am not going down there again…..

I have replaced bellows and duckbills in both of mine. The master head was definitely the harder on the two to access. I did 100% from up above reaching down to get to it. Not fun, but doable due to my long arms. People talk about getting down in the bilge between the port engine and the shelf with batteries and master vacuflush and for the life of me I cannot see it. I work from above on the batteries and such. I need to access the starter on the port engine and it is up under the exhaust pipe on that side. Haven’t figured that out yet.
