Did you read the thread I linked?
The maretron j2k100 is not a display, it converts the data your modified NIM (Network Interface Module) on your generator to the data the vv703 and your MFDs will be able to display

Pretty sure that your diesel view is now useless to you. Forget about it
I have know idea what any of this stuff is or how it works. Just trying to figure it out so i can help my installer who seems taxed at this point.
where could I purchase this j2k100 at. We called Onan and so far they have been zero help.
nope the diesel view comes right up once plugged back up.
my installer is going to call maretron tomorrow and if they say that works for our application it will be ordered. Thank you sir.

They sold him a couple cables they said he needed. He said they were helpful.
ok. Good.
Just make sure he understands he needs to modify your NIM.

How often does everyone replace the zincs on your motors and genny?

I do ours annually. There’s still a lot of meat on them but like to stay ahead of them before they fall apart.
I think it is a good idea to at least look at them and clean them twice a year. If you are new to pencil zincs, you may think that they look like new at six months or even a year when actually they are fouled and not effective. I pull them and replace on the 506 at 4 months and find them ready to replace. The Volvo exchangers only have one apiece instead of the two that were on my Cummins QSC 500s. I have pulled them and thought they looked fine but tapped with a hammer and the turned to powder. Also, you want to remove them before they deform enough to get stuck in the thread boss requiring further disassembly of the exchanger to remove. It is common for people to remove the plug, find the zinc is gone but it is broken off and just laying there out of site.

It depends on your boating season, waters you're in and of course the hours. There's a huge difference between 6 months in brackish water vs. 12 months in salt water. Some folks can do fine changing them annually, others have to do it every 6 months. I do mine on 6 months schedule. Zincs are cheap and easy to replace. Not worth waiting for additional headaches.

This forum sure does get quiet when many of you have to put your boat away for the winter, I guess there is a benefit of being in California.
As the weather started getting cooler I figured it was time to address a few upgrades, here are a few before and after pics of inside carpet, cockpit & bridge carpet and my favorite all new polycarbonate bridge windows and canvas.
I did the rear in just 3 pieces and the view is awesome

That poly carbonate looks amazing. Do you remove the forward centre panel entirely if you want to let the breeze in?

Your bridge gelcoat is like new !

My new teak is finally in. Just finishing off the smaller jobs now.
The center panels front and rear can be pulled up and attached to the arch plus in the front they added a pocket zipper with a screen above the polycarbonate that I can open to let air in on days like today when it is to cool to open completely.
The 2 front side windows can also be either pulled up or removed.
The gelcoat does shine well since the boat has always been covered and in fresh water and I try to keep it polished.
Do you think you will be done with everything before spring? Your rear deck and teak look amazing.
