The 2001 410 sundancer brochure describes dedicated storage for the dinette table. Does anyone know where this storage exists?

On our 98 400DA the storage cradle for the table, base and pole is located under v-berth. On ours the whole bed lifts on hydralic cylinders to reveal the cradle and spot for the base legs to sit in. If you have storage under your v-berth give it a look.

I found the storage compartment for the table under the master berth - perfect. But, how does the pole come off the base, and how does the base a and pole store in the same compartment for table?

If you look there should be cutouts for the legs to fit into above the drawers. The pole comes out of the base and I assume is stashed in the space to the sides. The pole may be a pain to get out of the base due to the tapered, wedge fit. Try laying the base or table down and banging on the side of the pole as you pull up with your other hand. The shock of banging on it will break it loose. Be careful it doesn't pop up and smack you in the face though!

lol yeah, it's tough to maintain your dignity with that technique, but that's how I do it as well. I also recommend compressing the support pole while the table top is still on it. It packs some power, so it's a good idea to have it already sized and locked for stowage.

The salon table fits nicely in the area under the front of the master berth of the 410 DA (above the a/c unit). I don't think the configuration of the 400 DA is the same.

However, I have never been able to figure out where to stow the base and pedestal. Stowing the table is useless to me if there is no where to put the base.

Any other 410'ers out there figure this catch 22 out yet?

I just leave the table up. Never really considered removing it. A friend replaced his table wih a wicker chest with a glass top (maybe it was plexaglass). Really nice touch and free extra storage .
.

I'm pretty sure that the base would fit under the salon settee, along with the stanchion.

I think I tired that a few years ago with no luck. I have the five star base and don't think I could finnagle it in. Its the one accessory that we use often enough to not keep it home in the basement. We just like it out of the way sometimes. Maybe I'll take a look again next time I'm on the boat.

Anyone else?

my 2003 410DA has the solid round base. I also always leave the table up. But, we did buy an ottoman that the top opens up and we leave it in the aft cabin for added storage.

400DA's had the 5-star base. The table slides into brackets on the underside of the berth. The base straddles a plywood "bulkhead" between the AC unit and the back of the drawers and the post, if compressed about halfway, sits upright in the corner of the compartment to starboard of the drawers. There's a cutout at the bottom and a strap about halfway up.

I'd be surprised if a 410 w/ the 5-star base is much different?

(note: 400's have two cutouts in the plywood which appear to be made for the center of the base, but it actually sits off-center)

The 410DA does not have drawers under the foward berth like 400DA.

Nor does the 410DA have any room whatsoever around the A/C unit or a cutout with a strap to secure the table post.

No room under the aft compartment seats either. That whole aft lounge is electrically operated to open up into a bed.

I've never spent any real time looking to see where the salon table, base and stanchion can be stored....honestly, I never really cared. I'll take some time this weekend and give it a look-see.

The base might fit here in the forwad stbd locker area next to the drawers.

Did anyone ever figure out where the base gets stored? Also, how does the pole get removed from the base?
