410 Sundancer Quick Question

Quick question for all you gurus out there...

Did they ever make a 410 Sundancer with 450s or anything over 400 hp diesels?

Not according to the company web site. The boat is not too heavy and does not require that much HP to achieve good performance.

In 2000 and 2001 you could get 410DA's with 375 hp 3126 Caterpillars.

I've run several 410's and don't know why one would need any more power than the standard diesel option. If you did have 450hp diesel engines the boat would probably run 10-12 kts at idle and you would likely need trolling valves to handle it around a the dock.

Thats pretty much what I thought, I only asked because I have somebody looking at these boats and they love power. I know you could get the 410 EC with the 450s I was just wondering about the DA
