410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

I think what folks are recommending is that you check the ac unit under your front v berth. It sits in a tray that holds condensate and has a drain tube that is supposed to flow into your sumps toward the rear of the cabin. A lot of times that condensate tube gets clogged and you will collect water in that tray built into the bottom of your ac unit. When the boat moves the water sloshes out and winds up seeping into that front storage compartment.
That’s what I was referring to. It’s a sheet metal pan on the underside of the AC unit.

Ah got it. Thanks.

Those trays are perhaps the poorest design of anything on our boats. Let's see: let's assemble of bunch of expensive motors, compressors, sensors and valves and place them on top of a shallow tray that collects water over which dusty air flows. Let's make that tray of regular steel and put the drain up on the side, facing the side. Years later, let's offer the same stupid tray, but made of stainless and sell it for ridiculous prices...

FWIW I read on one of the threads here a year or so ago about AC pan tablets. I drop one of these in the furthest corner from my drain monthly, and it keeps my pan and drain hose clear of debris. I used 2 tablets initially, and now usually just use one. If you're interested, just google AC pan tablets. You can buy them lots of places.

Hi Everyone

Sold are 1990 350/370 Dancer and looking for a Fresh water 400 Dancer 97/2000 prefer Diesel but would be interested in a clean Gasser as well.
We boat on St Clair river/lake as well Lake Huron

I have the same boat for sale on Craigslist check it out it's in Roanoke Craigslist and also Charlotte Craigslist. It is 100% fresh water covered slip all the time and it's only 94k . Also has new upholstery and ac and radar , plus upgraded fresh water tank --- since original tanks crack and leak. Just replaced all coolant, oil, filters, belts, impeller, engine zincs, . Also 1 yr old batteries and new smart charger. Check out new synthetic decking and all new cockpit speakers with upgraded sub ! Now that's a great buy !

Everything is for sale for the right price. How fluid is your budget? We have a ‘97 with the CATs, brand new redesigned cockpit upholstery, brand new SeaDek in entire cockpit, all new canvas with polycarb up front new in ‘16, all new hoses, filters, fluids, etc. It’s arguably one of the cleanest and most updated 400s around, and it’s in your neighborhood (bought new in Port Clinton, Ohio and hasn’t left the Great Lakes since). But it’s gonna cost significantly more than $100k for us to get rid of it. :p

I know Z and after driving 3 hours again to view boats in a snow storm we are regretting selling our 370, it's crazy what some feel perfect condition implies.
let me know what your asking and the details but find a boat before selling it's tough to find the good ones.

just buy mine for a lot less and almost all upgrades noted by the seller.

Jamie,
Did you check out the 400 DA Platinum Yacht Sales has? Boat is in the Detroit area. Asking $119K with diesels. I think it's way too high, but it's a nice, clean boat.

I looked at this same boat in Fall of 2015 and it was clean. I would have gotten this boat but I was a little early and the seller wasn't quite sure he wanted to sell back then. I bought my current boat from Platium and Bill was the sales guy I was working with. I have known him for a long time. Every aspect of the purchase was awesome. They even delivered it to my slip because I had something at work I couldn't get out of. If this boat looks like it did when I saw it and I think it will, you won't be disappointed. It was taken care of. I did not have a survey done on it though. Good Luck and if you would like to ask me any questions about it or other ones in this area just shoot me a PM.

mtandy definitely a great looking boat. my 100k is in Canadian funds so that plays a big part.

looking at a 370 at Platinum yachts after boat show ends. that 400 looks good but would be huge drop in $ for my budget.

Saw a 450 today priced very well but condition was terrible.

Jamie, I have a friend/dock neighbor that is getting ready to list a 400 Express, 93' I think. Not sure for how much or if you're even interested in an Express. Here's a photo in case you're curious, not a very good one.
