Can't figure this one out. Both 30 Amp lines are fully plugged in - gauges reading about 120v. All switches seem to work, but the Starboard Systems, i.e., the outlets on the stbd side, just won't work. This problem came on rather suddenly while in port and plugged in to shore power.

Anyone smarter than me have any ideas?

Thanks.

David

If you are sure you have full 30A service available on that leg of your shore power and everything else on that side works properly, your problem is either a tripped GFI breaker or a faulty breaker.

Sea Ray wires several recepticals in series after or down stream of the GFI. So once a GFI trips, you lose everything downstream. Look in the head, in the galley and in some rare occasions, on some boats, for some unknown and unfathomable reason, the GFI's are hidden in compartments in the galley or head. Once you identify the tripped GFI, just reset it and you should restore power.

The panel breakers are switch duty breakers and in some rare occasions, one will hang "in the middle". Just flip it off and back on.

But I'm betting on the GFI's.............

Frank, you were right, (as usual), but to my credit, (and my mother's), I had thought of that and she had found the GFI, in the cabinet, in the aft head. :smt038

Now the question is, what made it trip? (That's a rhetorical question for now. )

Thanks.

We have one in the forward head and I've seen it trip for no (apparent!) reason. However, it usually takes a jar, some moisture, etc. to make it happen. There is just no telling. If it gets to be bothersome, just try replacing it.

also leaving breakers on while plugging shore cord can cause it (gfi will sense open ground while power is present and trip safety circuit)

Thanks for the info. We always try to make sure everything is off, but every now and then I suppose something gets left on. I'll keep this tip in mind.
