i have a '93 400 EC. looking to put davits on the swim platform for a 10' AB RIB with a 15 HP 4 Stroke Honda. any thoughts out there?
we don't want to have to take the outboard off. and keeping as much extra hardware on the back of that swim platform is a necessity. so, no weaver leaver.

Something like this makes it easy. Just happen to have this setup for sale...

The swim platform on my 2003 Sedan Bridge is mounted so low that it is under the surface when the boat comes up on plane and when it settles back when it comes down. I want to keep my inflatable and motor on the swim platform but it is clear that it will have to ride a good bit higher. I'm considering Atkins & Hoyle davits as my best option. Any thoughts?

Look at this. I currentlly have Weaver davits and do not like them at all! Came with the boat. I have to remove the engine every time, it blocks my view aft if I'm in the back cockpit, and interferes with my stern lines. I want to install the DinghyRamp™ XL Roll-On Boat Lift.

Just realizied my avatar pic shows the dingy w/Weaver setup. You can see what I'm talking about.

I'm presently looking into the trick davit system. They look really nice i havent been able to find much feed back on them on this forum. The the boat next to me at my marina which happens to be a Sea ray 340 has them and loves the system.

I love the weaver davits that came on my boat, but I'm still man enough to remove my motor:grin:

If you have the weaver davits you can still use the swimplatform clips, fabricate new dingy clips that mate with the ramp, made out of starboard, already making templates to see if they'll work on the 280, you can do it Delta Boy!!
