You'll need to remove overhead plastic strip in the track. I forget exactly how many screws, but remember needing to start with the door closed, and gain access to the remaining after its open. Once removed, the door will have enough clearance to lift up and out

Ok, color me confused. Plasteak is a roll laminate flooring near as I can tell. You stated yours is snap together. Please explain because I'm loving your new floor!

Yes, Plasteak does have a rolled product. I figured that I would have that all kinds of wadded up. The product that I used by them is Plasteak easy boat sole, found just a little lower down on their homepage.
I bought 4 boxes plus 3 extra planks for my boat, along with (2) 2'x4' sheats of the cherry panel without holly in it for the stair risers and stair side. I only used one of the panels to do the stairs. I've used 2 boxes so far, plus the extra 3 planks to do the salon, stairs, and dinette area. I think I may have quite a bit left over, but we'll see. The planks are $25 each or $325 for a box of 13. They're 7 7/8" x 48 5/8" long. 3/16" thick. I also bought 2 sticks of the "L" moulding to finsh off the stair nosing, and stair at the companionway. Worked on it all day today installing my new hatch latches, and finishing the stairs. Should be able to wrap it up next weekend with the galley and companionway. We're leaving the staterooms carpet, as they're in pretty nice shape. All of it is randomly glued down with Gorilla glue construction adhesive, even though I bought the $60 can of floor adhesive from them that trowels on. That stuff is a colossal mess.....
This floor is designed to be a floating floor that holds itself together, so all you really need to do is secure it in place.
I appreciate the compliments. This has come together pretty easily so far. My only tools have been a 12" miter saw, a cheap 30 year old table saw, and a jig saw. Attached are a few new pics. If anybody has any questions, I'll be happy to help any way that I can.

Did you order your Seadek from the company or a Seadek vender? I have a 2001 and am looking to do mine. The reason I ask is for the vector files when they cut it from the template.

I used Castaway Customs who had a rep at Lake of the Ozarks that comes to our lake in Oklahoma as part of his territory. I believe that their main shop is in Florida. The files were sent there to be cut and shipped back to him.
This particular rep likes to measure his boats individually, but I think that I would be comfortable ordering from someone else's template. I've got pictures of all of my install, and you are welcome to them. We did the flybridge, stairs on both sides, cockpit and swim platform. Cost was $30 per foot measured and installed. Came to about $4800, but got a $500 discount for lining up 5 of my buddies boats to do at the same time. I did get him to send me his layout (attached) after he got his cadwork completed, just so that I could see it.

Thanks for the measurements. I finally got around to ordering some 1" wood blinds today. I am going to try and cut the angles myself and reconfigure the string and wand in the upper track. I looked at the store display and I think cutting the top track and redoing the strings will not be too bad. Two things for sure....either it turns out okay and they look nice, or I have a new boat anchor :)

Happy to finally have all of the floor done. Every weekend for all of January.....but what else do I have to do in January? Still getting to enjoy the boat, even if it is just tinker season.

Now, for all of the upholstery...
    Wife doesn't do 90's green.
Going with a deep navy ultraleather on both couches, and dinettes as shown in the last pic. Should look great with all of the cherry floors and cabinets.

Excellent workmanship on the floor. How are you getting air into the salon a/c unit with the stair risers solid? Also I see you pulled the carpet off the galley/companionway riser and put a board there. I did the same. Much nicer that way. I can't tell from the pics what you replaced the carpet baseboard with in the companionway- what is it? Also, I have tried removing my carpet baseboard there and can't seem to find all the screws. I may need to just rip it out.

Don't rip them out. They're there. Just take a phillips and start tapping around in the fibers until you hear it hit metal. Once you get one or two out, you can pry it back and get a pretty good feel for where the next one is attached.
There is nothing there now. I,ve been contemplating that one for a while. Wrapping the baseboards back in matching vinyl which would entail seeing screws, or new carpet to closely match. Carpet seems to be winning for the durability of scuffs. We're not doing anything where we have the vitricore. Original screw holes are hard to see.
The risers are going to get oval stainless grills that are about 3x6. At one time I considered cool looking floor registers with the adjustable flaps.
I considered this one for a bit too.... Where are the vents for the one under the bed? Maybe there is something, and I haven't seen them? Either way, a little airfow can't be a bad thing, and they'll look cool in the risers.
The riser lights are 12" waterproof led strips from West Marine. I found the same lights that were water "resistant" about 30 minutes after I bought them, at Autozone for 1/2 the price...
I plan to get more and line the lip of the galley cabinet above the work surface, and lose the bulbed version that is there over the range top.

The a/c unit sucks in cabin air through the stairs. You want that as open as you can. That's why Sea Ray cut those big slots in the risers. For the stateroom unit, the air intake is through the big slot above the two drawers.

That's good to know. Air in, air out.
I'll rethink the grills to something larger. I've got something in mind that I had seen before, that will let more air in.

I could not find them in stainless so I got them in white and had them painted to match the hull.
