Al, i am trying to figure out what to do about my DE540 on my 92 370 express.It will power up but not cool.I was told it could be a relay or something but i fear the worst.Tried to download manual with no luck so i could attempt to troubleshoot it.Boat is 5 hrs away so i wont be seeing much of her untill spring but i will be going there in a week or three to finallize the purchase.I am hoping the original manual is there on the boat.Also the a/c wont fire up at all ,was told relay there also or keypad is dead.I want to get them fixed before splash but dont know where to start.I hate to pay a tech so far away it seems its always more expensive .Glen

You may have the same size refrigerator I had in my Sea Ray 300DB. I found a Nova Kool unit that fit perfect and worked great. Here is a link to the conversion chart to find the right fit:

Wow 2 g's is a bit high for a fridge.A member here gave me the troubleshooting guide for my nocold,i will go through the steps first ,it may be a easy fix.I hope.The nova would be easiest to fit just open up the bottom a 1/2 inch .Thanks pack.

I have gone through two Norcolds on Easy Go. On both occasions I tried the troubleshooting and repair process and, in both occasions, they wound up in the dumpster anyway. I am not suggesting to not try I am just saying it didn't work out for me...TWICE! I think I would hire a tech to look at it and be prepared to order one. I won't have another Norcold on my boat. just sayin'.

I found a brand new, in the box cooling unit (which is the entire working system) of my Norcold on CL for $200. I took it apart in the cabin and repalced it within 1 1/2 hours. Works perfect.

Well upon further inspection,the po tried to defrost with a steak knife or ice pic and i found a tiny hole in the roof of the freezer in one of the raised tube areas.I now need a new cooling unit or a new fridge,crap!Does the beard marine guy still come around here?The new 0041 norcolds are much smaller than the de540 i have,3.6 cu ft compared to 5 cu ft for the same cutout.Glen

Yes,in the VISUAL INSPECTION PART. Funny there were no scratches in the finish,just one little poke,isnt that how promiscuous young ladies get knocked up?

I had the same issue, small holes and had to replace my complete inside assembly. so I have found the best way even better than a hair dryer is on of these, Multipurpose Pivoting Blower Fan, takes maybe twenty minutes, I just set it up on the saloon counter, adjust the angle, put on high and let it all melt.

You can find cheaper than this model in Wal-Mart or Home Depot, Lowes etc.

Except i cannot find a new inside assy anywhere,or a used one for that matter,i will be visitind a few local rv stores soon.

I'm so sorry for the late response, I was sure that I would get notification when someone posted on my forum space. The cooling unit you are after is discontinued along with the unit. The Isotherm Cruise 130 would fit perfectly if you are still in the market. Dimensions are 29 5/16H X 20.75 x 20. Please Pm me and I'll give you 10% over my cost as an apology.
